Zyn Player vs Hot Player IPTV: price, trial and setup

Zyn Player and Hot Player are both IPTV players: apps that play a playlist from your own provider, with no channels included. The short answer: as of October 31, 2026, Hot Player costs far less per year, has a longer free trial (30 days against 7), runs on more kinds of device and sits in several app stores, while Zyn Player is an Android app that lists catch-up and Fire TV and Android TV support, protects your playlists with a device key, and handles install and setup over WhatsApp.

Which Hot Player we mean

Several apps and sites use similar names. This comparison is about HotPlayer at hotplayer.app, which its site says is "Developed and published by STE DIGI VIBES". The store listings that site links to carry the same publisher: STE DIGI VIBES on the Apple App Store (© 2026 STE DIGI VIBES SARL), DIGI VIBES SARL on Roku and STE DIGI VIBES on the Microsoft Store.

It is not "Hot Player Plus" (Titanyou Studio, Google Play) or any other similarly named app or site. If a listing's publisher isn't STE DIGI VIBES (or DIGI VIBES SARL on Roku), the facts below don't apply to it.

Hot Player sells no content either. Its homepage says so in capitals, "MEDIA PLAYER, NO CHANNELS INCLUDED", and adds: "We do not engage in the sale of IPTV subscriptions or Channel Packages."

How we compared Zyn Player and Hot Player

For Hot Player, we read its official website (homepage, activation and upload pages, FAQ and Terms) and the official store listings it links to, on October 31, 2026. For our own app, we used only what the team publishes on this site, checked against the app itself on November 1, 2026. We ran no lab tests and claim no hands-on testing. Where an official source said nothing, the table says "Not stated officially". Apps change; check the official pages before paying.

Zyn Player vs Hot Player at a glance

Setup and activation: MAC address vs MAC address and device key

The biggest practical difference is how each app reaches your device and who can change your playlist.

How Hot Player activation works

Hot Player installs from a store listing, and playlists are tied to the device's MAC address. As of October 31, 2026, hotplayer.app's activation and upload pages asked for that MAC address, then a playlist; the upload page says it supports "all kinds of M3u content and XtreamCode Servers". The same site lets you delete a playlist by MAC, behind a captcha. On iPhone and iPad, playlists are linked through an in-app "Upload your playlist" page instead.

Because playlists are managed by MAC address, the app's settings include "Lock MAC", which the homepage describes as stopping someone else from resetting your playlist. If you pick Hot Player, turn it on.

How Zyn Player setup works

Our app isn't in any app store yet. You message the team on WhatsApp through the contact page, and they reply with how to install it on your device. The 7-day trial starts the first time you open it, and the app shows a MAC address, a 6-digit device key and a QR code. You add an Xtream Codes login or an M3U link in the app, or sign in on this site with the MAC address and device key and add it there; more than one playlist is fine. The MAC address alone isn't enough to change your playlists, so there's no "Lock MAC" step, and you can also lock a single playlist with a 4-digit PIN. The playlist section of the setup guide covers this step.

To buy a licence, you send the MAC address on WhatsApp, and the team activates your device after payment; setup help is in the same chat, in English. The upside is a person to ask; the downside is no store page today, so the first step is a message, not a download.

Hot Player IPTV pricing vs Zyn Player licences

On price, Hot Player is much cheaper, and it's worth saying plainly.

As of October 31, 2026, Hot Player's homepage cards showed 1 Year at 66.00 MAD (about €5.99) and Forever at 220.00 MAD (about €19.99). Its FAQ and Terms (§7) gave slightly different dirham figures, 65 MAD a year and 216 MAD lifetime, with the same euro amounts, "per device". The Terms define "FOREVER" as valid "for as long as HotPlayer continues to operate". On the Apple App Store, Hot Player Premium is a "1-year auto-renewable subscription" whose price may vary.

Our licences are paid once, with no auto-renewal:

The per-month maths for one device: Hot Player's yearly licence is about €0.50 a month (€5.99 ÷ 12), against €4.08 for Zyn Player Premium. Over two years, Hot Player costs about €12 yearly, or €19.99 once for Forever, against €89 for Ultimate. Even for two devices, two Hot Player yearly licences (about €12) cost far less than Supreme's €79.

What the difference buys is a different package, not content (neither includes channels): our app lists catch-up and no ads, with WhatsApp setup help, and nothing is billed again unless you buy another licence. If price decides it, Hot Player wins. The plans page has the current terms.

Free trial: 30 days vs 7 days

Hot Player's homepage advertised a 30-day free trial on October 31, 2026; its App Store listing says only "free to try on each device", with no length. Ours is 7 days, starting in the app. Hot Player's trial is about four times as long.

Seven days is enough to load your playlist and check the TV guide on the screen you'll use; if you want weeks before deciding, Hot Player gives you more room. Either way, test with your own provider's playlist.

Features: what each app says it does

Hot Player, per its homepage (October 31, 2026): favourites, channel-number navigation, search, A–Z and Z–A sorting, parental controls that lock or hide content with a PIN, up to three playlists, and Lock MAC. Its App Store listing adds EPG, auto-reconnect, hardware decoding up to 4K with HDR10 and HLG, audio and subtitle tracks, external SRT subtitles, resume playback, voice search, hidden groups, an offline playlist copy and 13 languages. We found no official mention of catch-up, time-shift, recording or multi-view.

Zyn Player lists Live TV, Movies and Series sections, a TV guide (EPG) with Xtream Codes logins, catch-up / replay, favourites, continue watching, search, a parental lock, more than one playlist, PIN-locked playlists, audio and subtitle tracks with subtitle style settings, and external players such as VLC and MX Player, with no ads. It doesn't record. No decoding or picture-quality spec is published, so we make no claim on 4K or HDR; ask the team on WhatsApp if that matters.

Devices: where each one runs

On October 31, 2026, Hot Player's site wasn't consistent: its homepage named Roku, the LG and Samsung TV stores and Google Play; its FAQ, the Samsung Tizen store and Play Store; its linked badges, Roku, Microsoft Store and Apple App Store. We verified three listings:

• Apple App Store: iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV; iOS 15+; free with in-app purchases.
• Roku Channel Store.
• Microsoft Store: Windows 10 (x64); free.

We couldn't verify Google Play that day; Samsung and LG stores have no public web pages, so check your TV's app store.

Zyn Player is an Android app: Android phones and tablets, Android TV and Google TV, and Fire TV Stick; the team tells you how to install it on yours. Apple devices, Roku and Windows appear only on Hot Player's verified listings; Fire TV Stick and Android TV only on ours (Hot Player's Google Play listing couldn't be verified).

Support and refunds

Hot Player has a contact form on hotplayer.app with an optional MAC field, an e-mail contact in its Terms and a reseller programme. Its Terms allow a 7-day cancellation for website purchases, requested by e-mail with your MAC address and transaction number; Apple or Google purchases are refunded through those stores.

Zyn Player support is on WhatsApp, in English, covering install instructions, activation and setup. Refunds are conditional, as set out in the refund policy.

Which one should you choose?

• Lowest cost for one device: Hot Player, clearly.
• A long trial: Hot Player's 30 days beat 7.
• iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Roku, Windows or Mac: Hot Player has verified listings; Zyn Player is Android-only.
• Installing from an app store today: Hot Player; we aren't in any store yet.
• Catch-up matters: Zyn Player lists it; Hot Player's official pages don't, so ask them before relying on it. Neither lists recording.
• Fire TV Stick or Android TV: on our list; check Hot Player's availability first.
• Who can change your playlists: Zyn Player asks for the MAC address and the device key; Hot Player relies on Lock MAC.
• A person to walk you through setup: WhatsApp help in English; Hot Player uses a contact form.
• No renewals: our licences are paid once; Hot Player's App Store purchase renews yearly.

If both fit, try each during its trial with the same playlist and keep the one that feels easier on your main screen. Our guide to choosing an IPTV player has a fuller checklist, and we've also compared our app with IBO Player and TiviMate.

Beware of lookalike sites

Hot Player's own homepage carries a warning. As of October 31, 2026, its disclaimer said:

"We have identified unauthorized websites replicating our platform and unlawfully using our name and content to market IPTV subscriptions and packages. These sites are not affiliated with us, and we do not endorse or recognize any transactions made through them."

That advice applies to every IPTV player, Zyn Player included:

• Type the official address yourself rather than clicking lookalike ads or search results.
• Check the publisher on any store listing (STE DIGI VIBES for Hot Player).
• A player sells no channels: by Hot Player's own statement, a site selling "Hot Player IPTV" packages isn't Hot Player.
• The only Zyn Player contact is WhatsApp through the contact page. We aren't in any app store yet, so if you see a listing under our name, ask the team before you pay.

Whatever player you use, choose a provider licensed for what it streams; see our disclaimer.

Zyn Player costs more, runs on Android only, has a 7-day trial and no store listing yet, but lists catch-up and no ads, protects your playlists with a device key, and comes with WhatsApp setup help in English and licences paid once.
